We aim to keep our fees as low as possible, but to do so we need parent’s assistance.
Although around 20 parents volunteer to serve on the Management Committee or Social Committee, it is hoped that all parents will be involved with Jack & Jill. We have many avenues for your support, such as attending our shows and social events or completing tasks.
We welcome parents’ and carers’ comments or concerns in any area, and encourage them to speak with us if they have any concerns or comments that may help us improve Jack & Jill.
Ways you can become involved:
PARENT SUPPORT
Every week a "Weekly reflection" is sent to you via EDUCA, so you know what has gone on in the classroom that week. It is a great way of initiating conversations with your child. Each Friday, our Newsletter will be on EDUCA, letting you know what is going on, and what is coming up at the kindergarten.
As we are working with your children, your ideas and comments are important to us. All carers are welcome to speak with staff at anytime. For lengthy Interviews an appointment can be made so as not to interfere with our teaching and care of the children.
Jack & Jill have a Parent Library with books on a large range of parenting issues which parents are most welcome to borrow.
SOCIAL EVENTS
Thanks to the support and relationship between our teachers and our wonderful Social Committee, Jack & Jill host many family events throughout the year. Some of these include: Our AGM, Kindy disco's , Easter hat parade, Mother's and Father's evenings, Grandparents Day and Christmas Concert. They are a great opportunity to meet and create friendships with other families.
