Our Statement of Commitment to Child Safety:
The Jack & Jill Kindergarten is committed to child safety and puts the safety and wellbeing of children at the heart of our culture.
We are committed to being an organisation that recognises, respects and promotes children’s rights. We are committed to ensuring children feel happy, safe and empowered and are taken seriously if they raise concerns in relation to their safety and well-being.
Our commitment will be enacted through the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the Child Safe Standards. We are aware of our duty of care and responsibilities to children and will always act in their best interests.
We value and support diversity, inclusion and equality. We are committed to the cultural safety of Indigenous children, and children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. We encourage the participation and empowerment of all children regardless of ability, gender, language or culture.
We have zero tolerance of child abuse and are committed to actively contributing to a child safe community where children are protected from abuse. All allegations and safety concerns will be treated very seriously and consistently with our policies and procedures.
We are committed to regularly training and educating our staff and volunteers, including our Committee (Board of Directors), on child Protection.
Our Child Safe Statement of Commitment applies to all employees, volunteers, students and the Board of Directors.
